Animate Lab Exercise #2: Drawing in Animate
Prerequisites:
1. Create
a folder on your desktop called Exercise-2.
Requirements:
1.
Create a New Animate file. Select Platform Type “HTML 5 Canvas”. Save the document as Chapter2.fla

2. In
the Properties Windows, change the document stage size dimension: width:
800px and height: 600px

NOTE: Below are the sample shape objects you will
completing in steps #3 - #9

Using the Toolbar, draw a straight line object using the line tool on the stage
area

Using the Toolbar, draw a free-form line object using the pencil tool on the
stage area
5. Using the Toolbar, draw brush stroke line
object using the brush tool on the stage area

6. Using the Toolbar, draw a shape object using the pen tool on the
stage area

7.
Draw an empty rectangle shape object on the stage area

8.
Draw an oval shape with a fill color on the stage area

9.
Draw a polystar object and then use the paint bucket tool to fill with a
gradient color (see lesson lecture demo slides 55-56)

10.
Verify your document has the required objects on the stage. See attached sample of the Flash output
file- Chapter2.html.
11.
Save your Animate file in your chapter2 folder.
12. Publish your file in JavaScript/HTML
format.
From the Main Menu, select
Publish Settings.
Select the checkboxes- Center
Stage=Both, Make Response= Both and Scale to fill visible area= Fit in View
Click on Publish

13. Test Movie.
Press <Ctrl><Enter> or from the Main Menu, select, Control
-> Test.
SUBMIT:
1. Submit the screenshot of the output result in
step #13.
On your keyboard, press <Print
Screen> and then paste into a Paint document. Save the file as a JPG
2. Zip up your Exercise-2 folder containing the
Animate Files
NOTE: Right click on the folder and select Send to
“Compress Folder”. The file will have a
file extension of .zip.
3.. Submit
and upload the screenshot and zipped up compress Exercise-2 folder to the
Canvas Animate Exercise 2 drop box.
